Build Apper apps inside ChatGPT​

Connect Apper to ChatGPT, describe the app you want in plain English, and keep building it directly from your ChatGPT conversation.

Apper can create your app, show you a working preview, and make changes whenever you ask.

Connect Apper to ChatGPT​

  • Open ChatGPT → Settings → Apps.
  • Enable Developer Mode if required for your account or workspace.
  • Add Apper as a custom MCP app using the server URL above.
  • Connect your Apper account and complete the sign-in process.
  • Start a new chat and enable Apper for the conversation.
  • Tell ChatGPT what you want to build.

Access to custom MCP apps and their available actions depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.

Start building​

You don't need to know any MCP commands or tool names. Just describe what you want.

For example:

  • "Build a CRM for managing leads, contacts, and deals."
  • "Create a to-do app with categories and due dates."
  • "Show me a preview of my app."
  • "Add a dark mode option."
  • "Add a dashboard showing monthly sales."
  • "Connect this app to a real database."
  • "Show me my Apper apps."

ChatGPT automatically selects the appropriate Apper tools based on your request.

Updating an existing app​

You can also continue working on an app you already created.

For example:

  • "Open my CRM app and add a reports page."
  • "Change the dashboard design."
  • "Add a new field to contacts."
  • "Fix the mobile layout."
  • "Show me the latest preview."

ChatGPT finds the relevant Apper app and makes the requested changes.

Troubleshooting​

I don't see Apper in my chat​

Make sure Apper has been added to ChatGPT and is enabled for the conversation.

Also check whether your ChatGPT plan and workspace allow custom MCP apps and the actions you are trying to use.

ChatGPT asks me to reconnect Apper​

Reconnect Apper from your ChatGPT app settings and complete the Apper sign-in process again.

I can't make changes to my app​

Some ChatGPT plans or workspace configurations may limit MCP write actions. Check your plan and workspace permissions.

My app is still building​

ChatGPT can check the current build status. Simply ask:

"Check the status of my Apper app."
